CCC at the 4th EU-Arab World Summit “A Strategic Partnership”

CCC supported the 4^th EU-Arab World Summit as a strategic sponsor.

The objective of this international forum is to foster a solid economic and political dialogue between the EU and the Arab World. It is organized under the auspices of the Greek Government, the European Parliament, Arab League and the European Commission.

This year’s summit which was held in Athens on October 29^th & 30^th entitled “A Strategic Partnership” was attended by leaders of EU countries and Arab states. The summit focused on economic cooperation and investments between the EU and the Arab World, especially in the fields of energy, trade, science, technology and healthcare.

Tawfic Khoury, CCC’s Executive Vice Chairman, addressing the audience described his vision for the EU-Arab World Summit as an opportunity of bringing together policy makers, multinational organizations and the private sector to discuss the ways to tackle common challenges and enforce cooperation between the two regions. He went on to underline that development requires everyone to collectively and individually work towards sustainable social economic growth by promoting business practices that respect the environment, encourage financial stability, tackle corruption and foster good governance and transparency.

CCC as the largest Arab construction group is eager to continue forging a comprehensive relationship between the EU and the Arab World and contribute towards a thriving business environment that reflects the principles of justice, peace, diversity and collective security.
